LOST SIGHT

LOST SIGHT

Reclaiming Perfection

LOST SIGHT - Reclaiming Perfection is a story driven adventure-puzzle game about insecurities

that follows the lifes of three protagonists whose self-image has been corrupted by our society

and the people in it. The Player Character, Ki, has the ability to hear Insecurities and enter Minds.

With her the Player TRAVELs THROUGH some of the most pivital MEMORIES that show how our

three Protagonists came to be insecure about who they are.

In the Game the Player has to first find the Protagonists one by one, by TRACKING their LOCATION

in the 3D environnement THROUGH their Thoughts/Insecurities (SOUND). After ENTERING their

Unique MINDS the player has to SOLVE PUZZLES AND RIDDLES, or COMPLETE TASKS to FIND the

"ENTRANCES" to their memories.

Same goes for when they want to leave them again. By EXPLORING the ENVIRONNEMENTS in

those memories and following the individuals in it the Player learns to understand the Character

better and GATHERs INFORMATION that will help RESTORE their SELF IMAGE.

In every memory there is something good that happened that the protagonist seems to have

forgotten about. It's being overshadowed by the bad. Those negative memories are the source of

the protagonists insecurities, so the player has to find and highlight the good to weaken the

insecurity.

Playthrough

This is a playthrough of my Bachelor Project - a Demo/Prototype for the game.

I chose one of the protagonists,"Saige" whose mind you enter and one of

her memories, "Like Magnets", to explore.

This prototype shows the core elements of the game:

  • Story

  • Entering minds

  • Hearing the protagonists thoughts

  • Traveling through memories

  • Puzzles & Riddles

  • Lifelines: Finding the good in a bad memory

Magnets

Like Magnets is the Title of the Memory you enter in the Demo. In this memory you learn

about Saige's struggles with prejudices and stereotypes about people with tattoos. She

is being confronted, insulted and treated with a lack of respect because of her appearence.

In this memory you also meet another person who plays a big role in saige's life - Elora -

and learn more about her past.
